Lake Cynthia is a gated community in Miami Lakes, with 72 single-family homes and townhomes on the west side of town.
It was built in 1986 by The Graham Companies.

Like most lakes in town that this neighborhood is built around, it is named for a woman in the Graham family.  In this case, it’s Cynthia Graham Gordon, a member of The Graham Group Holdings’ board of directors.  She is the fourth child of town developer William A. Graham and Patricia Culbertson Graham, who are both deceased.  Fifty-five homes are on the lake, 17 homes are on dry lots.  The quiet neighborhood is bordered by Breckness Place, Dundee Terrace, Glencairn Road and Dunbarton Place.

It is just east of Northwest 87th Avenue and south of Northwest 154th Street.

Amenities

Lake Cynthia is a quiet neighborhood whose residents can swim in the lake and enjoy a beach.  There is a pocket park; a small playground is owned and maintained by the town.  Some of the residences are two stories and range from three bedrooms and two bathrooms to five bedrooms with four bathrooms.

Suzanne Soriano, president of Lake Cynthia Homeowners Association, said the HOA has different sets of guidelines for the townhomes and single-family homes, and different fees for dry lots and those with water views.
